I first discovered Astrocartography about six years ago, but I didn’t really take it seriously at the time. It felt interesting in theory, but not something I had fully tested in my own life.
That changed in 2024, when I was invited to go to Hawaii.
It wasn’t my first time there — it was my fourth visit to the islands. But something about this trip made me pause and look at a pattern I could no longer ignore.
Every single time I went to Hawaii, I came back and something foundational in my life had shifted.
When I finally pulled my Astrocartography chart, I discovered that my Pluto IC line runs directly between Maui and the Big Island.
Understanding this line gave language to something I had already been living through.
The Pluto IC is not a light influence. It tends to bring deep psychological excavation, emotional truth-unveiling, and profound internal transformation — especially around family systems, identity foundations, and the unconscious patterns we inherit or carry from early life.
In my experience, it didn’t show up as external chaos first — it showed up as internal certainty that something in my life could no longer remain the same.
Each trip to Hawaii marked a turning point.
The first time, I returned home and left my full-time job, stepping into entrepreneurship and building my photography business.
The second time, I came back and made the decision to relocate several states away, completely changing my environment and daily life.
The third time, I returned and knew in my gut that the end of my marriage was near.
And the fourth time, I went with my mother, aunt, and cousin — and became physically ill during the trip. What surfaced wasn’t just illness, but a deep psychological realization around maternal influence, caregiving patterns, and the roles I had unconsciously taken on in my family system.
That trip marked the beginning of a deeper excavation around my identity as a caretaker, my tendency toward self-reliance, and the emotional structures I had inherited without realizing it.
Looking back, I can see that the Pluto IC line wasn’t “causing” these changes in a simple way — it was revealing what was already alive to be transformed. Each visit to that region acted like a catalyst, bringing buried material to the surface so it could no longer be avoided.
This is the kind of insight Astrocartography offers: not just where life feels good or difficult, but where life moves you, reshapes you, and brings unconscious patterns into awareness.
